With the official release of Windows 8 all the devices that function on this operating system are slowly making their way into the markets. The recent entries are from Dell. Dell Launches all the Windows 8 Gadgets in India. It has launched four Windows 8 powered devices which includes; XPS 12 Convertible, Latitude 10 Tablet, Latitude 643u Ultrabook and Dell OptiPlex 9010 All-in-One in the Indian market.
Commenting on the occasion, P Krishnakumar, Executive Director, Marketing, Dell India, said, “The combination of new Dell hardware and Windows OS will allow customers to create and consume content in new and exciting ways which makes technology more accessible and intuitive.” He further added, “The new products launched today are all about maximizing the balance between end user preferences, productivity and IT control, backed by robust customer service, aimed at helping users and IT departments navigate the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) landscape.”
Dell XPS 12 Convertible

The hybrid convertible provides the advantages of a portable ultrabook as well as a tablet. The device comes with a 12.5 inch Full HD screen with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. The screen also features the Corning Gorilla Glass which makes the screen strong and resistant. The keyboard comes with a touch pad and to make typing easy and it comes with backlight as well. But the battery life does prove to be a disappointment as it falls on the lower side. The device is already out in the market.
Dell Latitude 10 Tablet
The Windows 8 tablet from Dell comes with a 10 inch IPS wide angle screen. This gigantic tablet comes with a resolution of 1366 X 768 pixels. It is powered by an Intel Clover Trail Processor which is backed by 2 GB of RAM.
The tablet comes with an 8 mega pixel rear camera along with a front facing camera which means that the users can make video calls. The tablet is extremely portable because of its weight of 680 grams and 0.4 inch thickness. This tablet will be in the markets by the end of November 2012.
Dell Latitude 6430u
Price: 69,990 Along with a hybrid and the tablet, Dell has also launched their 14 inch Ultrabook. This ultrabook is extremely light and weighs only 1.6 kg. Dell claims that the new design is 33 percent slimmer and a whole 16 percent lighter that Dell’s 14 inch Latitude notebook. It is powered by Intel’s latest generation Core processor and it comes with 8 GB RAM. According to Dell, with one charge the gadget would last an entire day. The ultrabook will be out in the market by mid November 2012.
Dell OptiPlex 9010 All-in-One
Price: 49,990 onwards The last of the Windows 8 gadget from the company is Dell OptiPlex 9010 All-in-one desktop. This desktop comes with 23 inch screen and Dell has made sure that they have designed the gadget in such a way that it would fit perfectly just about anywhere. Another interesting feature about the gadget is that it has a touch screen as well and is powered by an Intel third generation core processor. This all-in-one desktop will be out in the market on 10th November 2012.
