Changing power Plan in Windows 10 (especially on Laptops) can boost the performance of Windows to a great extent. For eg., I play Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on my Laptop and playing on Power Saving plan gives me only around 40-50 FPS (my laptop is not high-end laptop :p ).
But, when I switch the power plan to High-Performance Mode, it runs at 80-90 FPS on the new De_Dust2 map.
Likewise, several applications get a boost just by changing the power plan.
Sometimes, you may also want to change the power plan from High-Performance to power Saving maybe because you are running low on battery.
This is a post to tell you how you can change power plan in Windows 10 pretty easily and quickly.
How to change Power Plan in Windows 10
Although it will be a short and quick guide, let’s go stepwise.
- Press the Windows Button and then type in “Power“. Some search results would show up. Click on “Choose a Power Plan“. Check below screenshot for reference:
- Now you would see something like the screenshot below. You can change the power plan by just clicking on whichever power plan you want to activate. And voila you are done.
