This post is for you guys who might not know how to run Command Prompt as administrator on Windows 7. Even though you may not need it today but it might help you someday.
How to open Command Prompt as Administrator in Windows 7
Command Prompt can be opened in Administrator mode by different methods in different Windows OS.
But, before proceeding forward please note that these methods or for that matter any method will only work if you have administrator rights and privileges on the system you are trying to open CMD as Administrator.
Opening Command Prompt as Administrator in Windows XP. Windows 7
There are several ways to open Command Prompt in both the OS.
- The first way is to press the Windows Button and then search Command Prompt in the Windows Menu. When command prompt shows up in the menu, right click on it and then click on Run as Administrator.
- The second way to open CMD as administrator is to press CTRL + R to open Run box. Now type in “CMD” here and press CTRL + SHIFT + ENTER to run Command Prompt as Administrator.
So, here you are. These were some ways through which you can run Command Prompt as Administrator in Older Windows.
